Challenges for Learning Professionals – New Directions

ipda is pleased to endorse and publicise the above International Conference being organized by Partap College of Education, Punjab, India in association with ipda. Representatives of the ipda International Committee including Professor Ken Jones and Dr Margery McMahon are presenting keynote sessions at the Conference.

The Conference is being organised by Dr Balwant Singh (dr_balwantsingh@yahoo.co.in), a well known and established ipda member.

The overall Objectives of the Partap Conference are:

  • To develop innovative and relevant strategies for professional development.
  • To encourage research activity and its application for effective teaching and learning
  • To evaluate the effect of developmental practices.
  • To coordinate the efforts of various agencies engaged in professional development.
  • To promote networking between schools and   teacher education institutions to support professional development.

The sub-themes of the Conference are:

  1. Teacher as Researcher
  2. Career Long Professional Learning
  3. Maximising the Impact of Professional Learning
