IPDA Ireland hosts Emerging and Early Career Researcher Event

February 14, 2025
IPDA Ireland hosted our Emerging and Early Career Researcher Event on 20 March 2025, hosted by Dr Niamh Hickey.
IPDA Ireland’s first Emerging and Early Career Researcher Event offered an opportunity for emerging and early career members of the IPDA Ireland community to engage in conversation with peers and to explore shared experiences of navigating research issues and challenges.
In this online event, participants had an opportunity to network and connect with other emerging and early career researchers, to share and discuss elements of their research, and to discuss experiences of engaging with insider-outsider research and ‘the space between’.
Attendees were asked to read “The Space Between: On Being an Insider-Outsider in Qualitative Research” by Dr. Sonya Corbin Dwyer and Dr. Jennifer L. Buckle in advance of the event to stimulate thinking and discussion.
