IPDA Collaborations

IPDA Collaborations

These page features details of the range of projects that IPDA Association members are working on together.

Early Careers Teachers

IPDA England and IPDA Scotland Collaboration

Both associations are working in collaboration to investigate the experiences of Early Careers Teachers across the two nations. The project started off with a small pilot where a collage methodology was used, to evaluate what the experiences of Early Careers Teachers were. The project was then extended to consider mentors and their engagement with the support of Early Careers Teachers and support them regarding their professional learning.

The small project will be taken further in future with the aim to involve a wider network of Early Careers Teachers and their mentors across England and Scotland. We are looking forward to continue with this project in 2024.

Mentoring and Coaching

IPDA England and IPDA USA Collaboration

Both associations started an initial conversation with mentors and coaches to discuss how coaching and mentoring can be used to facilitate professional learning. The project aims to investigate this practice further, and aims to consider what creative approaches are used to facilitate learning conversations in IPDA England, and IPDA USA.

IPDA England hosted two events where Mentoring and Coaching was explored in collaboration with the International Journal for Mentoring and Coaching in Education to reflect on how different practices are in place to support teachers and educators to grow and develop through professional learning conversations.

Mentoring and Coaching

IPDA England and IPDA Nigeria

In this collaborative space, IPDA England is aiming to engage with IPDA Nigeria to investigate how mentoring and coaching is used in different contexts to support and develop professional learning.
