IPDA Scotland is delighted to invite you to our summer Professional Learning Picnic, an ‘Unconference’ at the fantastic Outdoor Learning Hub at Queen Margaret University!

Venue: Outdoor Learning Hub, Queen Margaret University
Cost: Free for IPDA Members, £5 for on-members

IPDA Scotland have hosted events ranging from journal club discussions to establishing a regular doctoral studies network. However, one thing we have never done as an organisation is meet together, in person, in a venue.

It’s not all fun and games, Come prepared for an ‘Unconference’!

We will welcome you at 12 with a light lunch. Following this you will take part in a variety of collaborative professional learning activities led by our members. We will finish with a drinks reception at 5pm.


Would you like to lead a collaborative professional learning activity?

For example
• Leading a walking discussion around the beautiful outdoor learning hub
• Facilitating a table-top working conversation on a theme
• Organising a forum in the Howff, the Nordic-style, timber-built gathering place.

Participants will sign up to join you. It is hoped that these conversations will provide a starting-point for future shared work – collaborations, research, publications in our IPDA journals.
