11th Annual IPDA India conference on Professional Learning in Multidimensional and Multicultural Educational Context

The 11th annual “Partap International Professional Development Association (IPDA) International Conference 2023” was organised by Partap College of Education, Ludhiana, in collaboration with IPDA UK on the theme ‘Professional Learning in Multidimensional and Multicultural Educational Context’ under New Education Policy, 2020. The event took palce fron 24-25 February 2023.

Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University, Gobindgarh was the chief guest. Prof. Radif R. Zamaletdinov, director, Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication, Kazan Federal University, Russia, presented the welcome address. Eminent keynote speakers, Prof. Roza Valeeva, KFU and Prof. Anna O. Budarina, Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University, Kaliningrad, Russia shared their expertise on development trends of teacher education and challenges for educating practitioners.

A Memorandum of Understanding for collaboration was signed with IKBFU, Kaliningrad, Russia and DBU, Gobindgarh, India. The Fifth edition of the book ‘Professionalism in Education’ was released by the chief guest and eminent international scholars. Scholars from Russia, Spain, Italy and India presented posters and oral presentations in separate groups both offline and online.

On the second day Prof. Laura Sara Agrati, University of Bergamo, Italy presented a keynote on hyper-complex class room scenario and the skills required for teachers to manage. Prof. Juanjo Mena, University of Salamanca (USAL, Spain) presented a keynote address on the use of immersive learning in teacher education.

While presenting reflections, Prof. Balwant Singh motivated all the teacher-educators and the principals of various colleges to work collaboratively and focus on their research work to bring forth a competent teacher’s community. At the end vote of thanks was proposed by college Principal, Dr Manpreet Kaur.
