If you’re a doctoral researcher, or an MA student thinking of undertaking a doctorate, you are warmly invited to join the online IPDA Spotlight Session, ‘Making Theory Work For You’.

In this spotlight session, we will take you through all things theoretical! Including:

• What is a ‘theoretical framework’?
• Why is a theoretical framework necessary in a doctoral thesis?
• Choosing an appropriate theory for your study.
• The structure of a Theory Chapter.
• Theory and methodology.
• Working with a theory throughout your thesis (theory as ‘the golden thread’).
• Theory ‘dos and don’ts’.
• Theory Q&A.
