Annual IPDA Conference 2019
It was lovely to see many of you at the 2019 conference in Birmingham, and to hear so many interesting presentations and join in the stimulating conversations.
IPDA England Committee
Thanks were expressed to Coleen Jackson for her work as co-chair of the IPDA England committee, enabling it to become the active group that it is today. We wish Coleen well as she moves on to new opportunities to support the professional and personal development of others.
Lizana Oberholzer from UEL was welcomed onto the committee. Lizana also serves on the conference committee and has a wealth of experience in professional development to bring.

IPDA England Seminar 29/01/2020: Collage as a means of meaning-making
Dr Suzanne Culshaw will be sharing her research using an arts-based methodology to study what it means to be struggling as a secondary teacher in England at the Sheffield Hallam Research Engaged Practice network on 29 January 2020 (4.30-6.30). All welcome.

Research event 16/05/2020: Research on… Teacher wellbeing and its implications for professional development
This event will take place at the University of Wolverhampton on Saturday 16 May 2020.
A free open research event for everyone researching or interested in teacher wellbeing and professional development.
Dr Suzanne Culshaw will be the main speaker at the first of a new style of event that IPDA England are hosting. sharing her research on ‘What it means to be struggling as a secondary teacher in England’
If you are researching in this field and would like to present a Paper, we would love to hear from you. This is an event where colleagues from all phases, primary, secondary and FE are welcome.

Annual IPDA Conference 2020: Imagining the post-professional
The 2020 IPDA Conference will take place from 27-28 November 2020 at Aston Conference Centre, Aston University, Birmingham – see key dates for submission and registration on the website.

Twitter Slow Chats
