About the theme

Professional Learning in a wide range of education contexts experienced a variety of challenges since 2010 where performativity and a technicist approach became more favoured.

During this conference, IPDA England aims to explore with IPDA members across all associations, how we need to reclaim and reimagine professional learning post 2024, to champion agency and bespoke personalisation.

Key themes to consider

  • Grassroots sustainable practitioner researcher methodologies
  • Transformative Professional Learning Practices
  • ‘Done to’ vs ‘done with’
  • Agency in the workplace
  • Professional Identity
  • Developmental professional learning models vs deficit professional learning model (addressing issues within professional learning)
