Professional Development in Education to benefit from new printing presses

Taylor & Francis (Routledge) the publishers of ipda’s academic journal will be moving to high performance inkjet printing presses from the start of 2014 issues. This coincides with the publication of Volume 40, a landmark in itself.

All ipda members receive 5 Issues a year of the Journal as part of the benefits associated with membership. Vol 40 (1) is going to print shortly and will be posted to members early in the New Year.

This development offers many advantages over conventional digital printing, including improvements in quality and environmental impact. Image quality across mono, greyscale and full colour reproduction is very good. The migration to inkjet printing entails a move to a slightly different paper stock, Crown Digital Silk, which is fully FSC accredited. This will take effect with the first issue of the 2014 volume. Crown Digital Silk is a high performance inkjet paper that closely matches the present stock, with increased thickness, opacity and bulk.
