IPDA Cymru hosts webinar on Creativity, Practice and Professional Learning

‘Creativity, Practice and Professional Learning’ with Sophie Hadaway and Nia Richards.

This event took place on Thursday 24th September 2020.

Imagination, collaboration, adaptability, risk and resilience; dispositions we have all had to develop and practice over the past few months.  As a result, have we become more creative?

We have been working closely with teachers and senior leaders across Wales on a national creative learning programme for the last 5 years supporting them, and their schools, to transform teaching and learning and initiate significant change to their curricula.

In this session we started by looking at definitions of creativity and its growing prominence within education systems.  We considered inter-professional working and in-situ professional learning. We also shared examples of creative pedagogical approaches and how these can impact teacher confidence and sense of agency, which are important to foster at any time, but particularly during times of uncertainty such as the current Covid-19 crisis.

The session also included a Q&A.
